The nights are just starting to get dark a little earlier – I hate to mention it, but this always makes me start thinking about Christmas. There are things that you can do to help you sell your home quicker, too. These include:-

• Ensure you have good exterior lighting outside the property. This will enhance the entrance to your home.
• Ensure the garden leaves are swept up, hedges are trimmed, and gutters are cleaned. Also, move any summer furniture or toys from the patio.
• Bird feeders make a lovely addition to your garden that will delight potential owners.
• Invest in new soft furnishings (including throws for the sofas and beds) and soft lighting and candles, these will not only add to the ambience, but a lovely winter scent will enhance the scene too.
• Repair any window and door leaks, have the chimney swept and check the garden roof and the
  boiler.
• Your EPC is important too, make sure you are on the best energy deal, particularly as the cost of energy bills rises at a pace.
