In Bramhope we have recently formed ‘Dementia Friends’ as a way of providing support and help for not only people living with dementia but also for those caring for someone who is.
As part of this initiative we are launching the Care for a Cuppa Café – this will take place on the first Tuesday of each month in Bramhope and is an opportunity to come along, share a cuppa, a cake and conversation.
The first Care for a Cuppa will take place on March 3rd in the Robert Craven Hall from 1.30pm – 3.30pm at a cost of £2 per person. Activities will include quizzes, crafts, exercises, games, singing, music and reminiscence but also to provide some time to provide support for carers too.
David Phillip Estate Agents are pleased to be supporting ‘Care for a Cuppa’ – Lesa Brown from David Phillip commented “Care for a Cuppa will provide people living with dementia an opportunity to feel a valued member of the community whilst also forming a new social network. For carers it is a place where their role is respected and valued whilst providing local support that is much needed – we are delighted to be involved” .
