Wanting to sell your property quicker? – here’s your weekly checklist

Always have your house viewing ready, whether it is via curb appeal, the interior of your property or how you market it.

Ensure the front of your house always looks immaculate, clean steps, no dead leaves and definitely no overflowing dustbin – always make sure your For sale board is straight – at David Phillip estate agents we do regular checks, but need to know if it has been damaged or has become a little on the wonky side – we have an electronic tracking process with our board provider, so things can be fixed immediately .

Make sure the inside of your home is looking good too – at David Phillip Estate Agents we will have helped you to stage your house prior to taking the 3D virtual viewing so that your home is always an ‘open–house’, but there are things that you can also do. – always keep the flowers fresh, the fruit bowl filled, fresh towels and bedding and ensure your home looks show home ready.

Ensure you speak to your agent every week, at David Phillip Estate Agents we call for feedback after every viewing, but we also have invested in the Zoopla Property File Plus Portal – this means you can get feedback, updates and view the status of your house sale 24/7 at a time to suit you, even having invested in this technology though, we like to update you over the phone or in person too!

Monitor the property Portals (ie Rightmove, Zoopla) every week, if interest suddenly starts to dip then have the photographs changed, or use one of our clever dawn to dusk photographic enhancements – we will be talking to you about the response your property is getting.

Check out the competition -  monitor the property portals yourself, are you priced competitively, what are other properties selling for in your area? David Phillip has been valuing and selling properties for over 30 years, so you can be sure you are going to get a realistic price, but this may need to change depending on Market trends.
