I read with interest that the Government has announced an initiative to use Proptech (Property technology) to ‘digitally transform house buying’ – this will help to speed up how we buy and sell homes. This figure didn’t surprise me at all, the days of having elaborate offices full of people are a thing of the past, especially with high rents and business rates.

The internet has brought all things to our fingertips from buying groceries, booking tickets and holidays and doing research about future things you would want to buy such as cars and homes. The internet though has also evolved as a place to read customer reviews, this can help people to determine the services and products they want to buy from people who have already experienced using that company. With more than 90% of all customers using online reviews as part of their research at a local and national level, this shows that merely informing a potential customer of the availability of a product or service is no longer enough – consumers want to hear about first hand experiences.
