#Find this door

7th May 2019
At David Phillip Estate Agents, one of our favourite Instagram accounts is ‘Find this door’ it has 182k followers and is a ‘community of Door Lovers’ – we love the vibrant and unusual pictures it posts of doors all over the world that are interesting, beautiful and historical and in nearly all cases they really stir the imagination. As I look at these pictures when they are posted on Instagram, it makes me wonder what lies behind each wonderful door and also the importance of the front door of any property.
First impressions count, and particularly if you are selling your home. How the outside of your home looks can make a massive impact on what a potential buyer may think – if you give them the wow factor from the outside then they will be excited and hopeful for the viewing inside, but if you disappoint right from the offset then it will take twice as long to win the potential buyers over.
Want to extend your home, or a property that you are planning to buy? Here's how to do it without having to submit a planning application. Permitted development rights enable homeowners to make certain building works on a property without planning permission from the local council and without approval from a neighbour.
As Spring bulbs such as daffodils start to fade away, and the borders are starting to grow in leaps and bounds this is a sign that summer will soon be approaching.
Last week I posted a blog about staging your home to ensure the best property viewing possible that will hopefully lead to a quick sale at the best price. Potential buyers will be most interested in your home on the first few weeks it’s on the market, so you need to hit the ground running and also before your listing on the property portals grows stale
Earth Day is an annual event celebrated April 22nd. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day now includes events in more than 193 countries.
You have instructed your Estate Agent, your 3D virtual viewing has been filmed, the photographer has taken your photos, the for sale board is up, your Social media campaign is ready to go and the floorplans and site maps are done. All you now need to do is sit back and wait for viewings and an offer – it should be that simple, but for a successful sale there are things that you need to do too.
At Easter in 2018, over 8,000 properties were added to Rightmove on March 29th – this was the highest day in 4 years – with the spike just before the busy Easter listings period.
