Different audiences will also respond in varying ways to the myriad of communications channels now out there and often a message needs to be seen or heard across multiple platforms to resonate.’ He also writes, ‘In May, Zoopla surveyed 2,000 people who have either sold their property in the last 18 months or who were currently looking to move or sell over the next year and a half. An over whelming proportion of these house-hunters (70%) told us that they use a combination of estate agency websites and property portals when searching for their next home. I was walking around RHS Harlow Carr Garden at the weekend and was so impressed with what they are doing to help the environment, as well as providing the right surroundings for bees and wild animals. Bees perform a task that is vital to the survival of pollination and agriculture – one third of the global food supply is pollinated by bees including 70 types of crops and contribute £400 million pounds to the economy, as well as making 6,000 tonnes of honey and who, quite simply keep the plants and crops alive – bees need good food in order to provide us with food too. There are so many changes to our environment it can be hard for bees to find enough flowers and therefore food, so…. What can we do to help support this critical friend.

If you are a landlord or have a portfolio of properties, you can claim ‘wholly incurred’ expenses against your property income. Expenses must follow the standard HMRC guidance and the expenses must be exclusively for the purpose of renting out the property. HMRC provide a number of examples of allowable expenses including: If you buy a new vacuum cleaner for your own home, and also use it to clean your rental property between tenants, you can’t claim the cost of the vacuum cleaner as an expense against your rental income. However, you could claim the cost of any cleaning products you bought specifically for cleaning the rental property. Where costs are incurred partly for your rental business and partly for some other purpose you may be able to claim a proportion of that cost if that part can be separately identified as being incurred wholly and exclusively for the purposes of the property rental business.

On 8th and 9th June, Leeds will host the Country’s most prestigious Triathlon. This is the fourth time this event will return to the City, which will see elite (including many of the Team GB’s aspiring Tokyo 2020 Olympians) and amateur triathletes competing across the two days. Amateur triathletes will complete a swim in Waterloo Lake, Roundhay Park before completing a bike route that takes participants towards Headingley before returning to Roundhay Park.
