August Bank Holiday in Leeds

Everyone is really looking forward to this Bank Holiday, many people have been in self-isolation,  working from home, furloughed or been separated from family and friends as a result of Covid-19.

However as restrictions are gradually lifted and restaurants are now open for business in the new normal way of dining out, this Bank holiday feels like a time to go out and celebrate the good things happening and places to visit in Leeds.

Here are a few places to enjoy over the Bank Holiday

  • Follow the many trails in Leeds, these are great for all ages, ideal for keeping that social distance and taking in the fresh air. There is everything from street art, admiring the architecture, seeking out the Leeds owls or looking at the historical sites along the waterfront – the weather is looking to be better on Monday too.
  • Take some retail therapy – the shops in Leeds are some of the best in the Country  you will find some of the best big names such as Harvey Nicholls and John Lewis, but also some exciting independent offerings located in some interesting arcades – and it’s always great to support local businesses particularly as they have had a tough time during Covid-19 .
  • Once you have finished the retail therapy then Leeds has some amazing place to go for something to eat or drink. Some great larger chains but also tuck into some wonderful food at many of the incredible independent offering great food under careful post Covid19 protocol – please be sure to book in advance.
  • If you want to stay local and live in North Leeds, then Bramhope has some lovely places to eat and drink – visit the Corner Cup or Bramhope Deli, both have a selection of freshly made food. The Fox and Hounds offers a great selection of home cooked food and in a lovely location in the heart of the village, there are also lots of walks in the area, including Golden Acre Park – perfect for a self distancing walk on an August bank Holiday weekend.

Leeds and particularly Bramhope are wonderful places to live – take a look at our website, we have some beautiful properties –  you can view these via 3D virtual tour from the comfort of your armchair, and if you are looking to sell your home call us on 01134 676 400  w davidphillip.co.uk  a: 86, Leeds Road, Bramhope, Leeds
